I bought my sister pajamas. So did four other people. That’s practically all she’ll be opening on Christmas morning. She did ask for pajamas, but still. Do I take back the pajamas I bought her and get her something else, even though I’m sure my pair will be her favorite? (It’s not bragging if it’s true; I know what she likes in a PJ.)
If I could recruit three more people to give her PJs she’d have a pair for every day of the week and we could say we planned it that way.
I suggest: Give her the pajamas, and a gift receipt. Let her decide which to take back — and let her not tell anyone which she kept, so everyone thinks she kept theirs.
