My manuscript Maharishiville is one of five semi-finalists in the James Jones First Novel Fellowship 2007 . This year there were 631 submissions. Bonnie Culver, the director of Master of Arts in Creative Writing at Wilkes University and one of the contest judges, says Maharishiville is “a very funny book.”
The Fellowship is awarded by the James Jones Literary Society to an American author of a first novel-in-progress, and is coordinated by Wilkes University. The award is intended to honor the spirit of unblinking honesty, determination, and insight into modern culture exemplified by the late James Jones, author of From Here to Eternity and other prose narratives of distinction.

Congratulations Julie!
I’m so proud of you and glad that you’re my book doctor. Good luck to you for the finalist selection.
By the way, why are you checking your emails while on a holiday? But this peek was worth it.
